Director’s Concept: The Director wanted to bring this show new life by having designs that were visually exciting and captivating for young audiences. She specifically asked for “pop” and “Hello Kitty” inspired aesthetics.

Designer Concept: Love and friendship can add a continuous rainbow of color to our lives.

• I specifically used to colors of the rainbow to delineate the passing of the seasons.

• I drew inspiration from famous male pop stars like David Bowie and Elton John.

• I used whimsical fashion from the 1960’ s and 1970’s to capture the quirky nature of the musical.
