For this production, I had the opportunity to work as a stitcher in the UVU costume shop, and as a flat pattern maker in my Special Topics in Costume Construction class, taught by Tara DeGrey.

In the shop as a stitcher, I worked on making a pair of dark brown slacks made from wool suiting. The slacks were worn by Tyrell Clement, who played Pjotr Nikolayevich Sorin. In the photographs, he is the character with a beard in a wheel chair. The slacks were made from a historical replication commercial pattern. They featured a high waistband with a center back split, front hip pockets, front fly, and a back welt pocket.

In the class, we collectively worked on the red dress and jacket worn by Stephanie Lake, playing Irina Nikolayevna Arkadina. The pattern was made from altering standard slopers. I specifically worked on the bodice front, back, and basques, along with my classmates Dayna Kay and Mallory Goodman.
