Design Concept: Fat Pig as a comical social satire which examines the toxic effects of the sociological constructs of patriarchy and masculinity on men and women alike; specifically how the male gaze objectives women and creates fat shaming culture. I illustrated this by using lines and boxes in pattern choices to represent the word "structure" derived by and symbolic for societal structure, and the cages/boxes it puts individuals in. I als delineated gender by using cool tones for the men, and warm tones for the women. Lastly, I visualized the effects of the above mentioned sociological constructs on men and women. Specifically, for men to be and want more, and for women to be and want less. I did this by using patterned fabric for the men, and solid colors for the women.
